So apparently when showing the "Initializing VMware Fusion" dialog it was actually attempting to bring up the licensing window but for some reason was unsuccessful. I had been in this loop before and answered "no." I'm installing it bare metal from a burnt CD using a Shuttle SZ77, i5-3470S GPU, 32GB RAM, a 2TB SATA drive, a 120GB SATA SSD, and a SATA CD/DVD ROM. I ran into this problem installing Fusion 12.2.4 on macOS Monterey and thought I would post a solution I found.įusion first apparently installs correctly with an application size of 1.2 GB.
